Adaptive Golf Program of Durango
Providing a great outdoor golf experience for people with all types and levels of disability since 2013
AGP’s Mission Statement
The Adaptive Golf Program’s mission is to provide a great outdoor golf experience for people with all types and levels of disability and to promote independence through individual participation. Building strong relationships between participants and volunteers is a fundamental piece of our program.
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and educational experience for our golfers. Golf is a game for everyone, whether you are disabled or not. It combines mental and physical skills together with social interaction to empower each individual. Through the sport of golf, we can improve confidence, coordination, independence, and social skills. We started this program with the intent to improve the lives of people in our community.
One of our goals, is to keep our program free of charge to all golfers, which is made possible through community support and individual donations.
Our programming runs every Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon during the months of May, July, August, and September at Hillcrest Golf Course in Durango, CO.
It is free to all participants.
Golfers meet on the back side of the driving range at Hillcrest Golf Club: at 2300 Rim Drive Durango, Colorado.
